Would It Be a Mistake to Major in College in Accounting?

I hear that a major that requires a lot of math classes is the best option for a major because you make more money in this career field. I really enjoy math once I know what I'm doing. I prefer algebra over geometry. I also really love english and social studies since I have really good memory and enjoy writing the occasional paper. I do loathe science, though. Would accounting be a mistake?

Not at all.. it really is one of the most promising careers right now that will not be lacking in the job field anytime in the near future. Everyone will always need accountants.. the math part really isn't a big part of it as much as understanding and learning concepts and procedures to follow.. good luck! try a class out and see how you like it, there's no harm in switching majors within the first year or two of college being most cirriculms consist of basic classes needed for every major
