What Was Wrong with Obama Using Reconciliation to Pass the Healthcare Bill?

Or is it just okay when Republicans do it?

MCCAIN: I fully recognize that Republicans have in the past engaged in using reconciliation to further the party’s agenda. I wish it had not been done then, and I hope it will not be done now that the groundwork has been laid.

Suggestion:

So you are leaning on the "Well they started it!" defense?

When was the last time something this big has been passed? This is a big f-ing deal, to quote Biden. Something this big shoudl not have been passed if they didn't have the votes to pass it the traditional way.

It is cheating and underhanded when it is done at all.

Oops, there goes another bumblebee….

The health care bill is terrible. Why not just create Universal health care instead of this shabby bill?

i have never seen anything wrong with it

Because Obama was against it when he was running for president. He has said during the primaries that it required a 2/3 vote in order to pass something that significant.

Just another broken promise from Obama

The majority of Americans do not want Obama Care! Hey what the heck, I am a Republican, never thought we would make such a quick comeback after 2008.. I guess I should thank Obama for using reconciliation, the further left he goes the more independents come over to our way of thinking.

because, by ramrodding a cancerous policy into law that few americans want is not supporting his sworn oath to uphold the constitution and is betraying the best interests of the american people.
