What Does Reconciliation Mean in Simple Terms?

I have to do an assembly on it for tomorrow, I know it seems to have something to do with law and relationships? I am 13 so if you could word it easier, and not just get the definition of the internet as I have tried but its all worded "differently". Also if you have any idea for an assembly on it, I would be interested to hear them.

Reconciliation is when people make an agreement to forgive each other for what ever problems they have had in the past so they can move on with their relationship or business.
