What Do You Tell People When They Say That Your Career of Accounting is Boring?

Boring is subjective. I like working with numbers and software. My day goes fast, I work on interesting problems and have a feeling of accomplishment, and I make good money.

They don't seem to mind asking me for advice on investing or taxes.

Suggestion:

You can tell them you make pretty good money in accounting.
