Suggestion:
MS Money 2007 is a good Family and small business software and has many features yet I know of many accounts that prefer to use several others. Here is a good listing of your basic accounting software for OS X

Most used that I have seen is
Peachtree, QuickBooks, MYOB and even Excel best answer for you is which is easier for you and you family as well what format does your account like your receipts.

UPDATE:
To me I found Peachtree well to complex so I went to use MYOB which was not really the best for an accountant we are now using Excel and QuickBooks. Still most others use Peachtree and Excel for their books.
