Is the Following Sentence Structured Correctly?

Information Technology is a life saver specifically with accounting careers, because in accounting you have to be perfectly right with every calculation and job you do and computers have really helped to assist in ensuring perfection.

Suggestion:

it's a run-on sentence. Here's my suggestion (from a journalist):

Information technology dramatically helps in the direction of accounting careers. Since in accounting accuracy in calculations and your overall job is important, computers have helped to assist in ensuring perfection.

(Really and just, for example, are two words that can 99% of the time be taken out. Teachers do not like these words.)
