I'm trying to find a suitable accounting software for our security company.
we need an accounting program that can handle sequential invoices per client, statements, monthly invoice totals, purchases breakdowns ETC.
most i've seen don't have separate invoicess for each client and seem more about the sales side than the service side. any help will be appreciated
Suggestion:
Try Sage – it's now the most popular Accounting software in the country and handles everything extremely well. I have used it in a number of different firms and would highly recommend it – very user friendly. Also splits sales and service invoices easily.

When it comes to accounting software comparisons, it's important to not only take your time but also know what to look for in regards to your company structure. Always compare accounting software based on how it will impact your business personally. Just because an accounting system is ranked number one by a reviewer does not mean it's right for your specific needs.
You definitely need Pastel Evolution – It's a South African based Software Company specialising in ERP (Enterprise Retail Planning) solutions. They do have multiple security companies running their software.
They also have smaller applications for smaller companies, but I'm not really familliar with them. I'd suggest you check out their website

I'm sure they can sort you out.
There is a whole host of software solutions out there, some better than others, some more popular than others, some more suited to some industries or types of business than others.
You may find that most doftware solutions can do what you require – but with the right setup first, which is often the most difficult bit.
Apart from suggesting you talk to your bookkeeper or accountant, you might like to look at the following solutions:
Sage – ver popular, but personally I find it expensive, cluncky, hard to use and very inflexible. Others say it is easy to use and they love it – depends on what you like and what you are trained on I suppose
VT Transaction Plus – my personal favourite accounts software, excel based, very flexible once you get using it, but you do need to have some understanding of double entry book-keeping to make the most of it
Solar Accounts – good for very small businesses and is quite intuitive but may be too simple for your needs
